Gershwin

Gershwin

Moritz Gershowitz left Russia for New York on a ship in 1890. Aside the necessary suitcases stored in the hold, his true treasure consisted of an old Borsalino hat which costed a considerable amount of roubles but inside she was hiding a much more valuable treasure. Inside was written the address of Moritz`s rich uncle, who promised to accept and support him until he finds his feet.
The ship approached the New York`s harbour, Moritz turned up on the deck and when he saw the first vague silhouettes of the skyscrapers appearing in the morning mist, he started to dance and jump just like the marooned Ben Gunn on his desert island.
A sudden blast of the wind blew his hat away.
